North Woodmere man charged with intent to distribute pornography in Texas

North Woodmere resident Steve Weinman was charged with five counts possession of with the intent to distribute child pornography in Texas.

Arrested at 5:45 a.m., on Feb. 27, Weinman, 60, of Hillcrest Place, was taken into custody after what Nassau police called a “comprehensive investigation” with the help of the NY-NJ-US Marshals Fugitive Force.

Weinman was arraigned on Feb. 27 and remanded without bail. His next court date is March 5. The Legal Aid Society of Nassau County is representing him. He is expected to be extradited to Texas.

Police said the investigation is continuing, and said that if anyone thinks that they might have a victim of Weinman to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 244-8477 or 911. All calls are confidential.
