A power outage struck 2,800 Long Island Power Authority customers after 4 p.m. on July 19, according to LIPA spokeswoman Elizabeth Flagler.
LIPA was restored power to 85 percent of those customers before 6 p.m., Flagler said. The remainder had power about a half hour after that, she said.
The power outage struck the Rockaway Turnpike and Rockaway Boulevard area of Lawrence near Costco and Lowe's.
