Queens man in Inwood with weapons, crack cocaine

A substance believed to be crack cocaine in 20 bags, a loaded semi-automatic pistol and a switchblade knife were found by Nassau police in a blue BMW after a traffic stop near the intersection of Burnside and Taft avenues in Inwood on July 14 at 11:25 p.m.

Jermaine Jordan, 41 of 234th Street, Rosedale, was driving the car that police said was in violation of multiple vehicle and traffic laws.

He was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a firearm, three counts third-degree criminal possession a weapon, second-degree criminal possession a weapon, fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of fireworks.

He was to be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on July 15.
