Louis Mennella, a military veteran, who along with his family owns Bewitched Grand Salon in Woodmere hosted a “Woodmere Supports Veterans – In Good Taste” fundraiser last Sunday.

Proceeds from the four-hour event will benefit Veteran House, a Nassau County-based nonprofit organization headed by Plainview resident Leann Murphy-Baker that seeks to provide temporary housing for homeless veterans.

The fundraiser featured food tasting from more than 25 Long Island restaurants and thousands of dollars in prizes and raffles.
