The Hewlett, Atlantic Beach, East Rockaway, Oceanside, Rockville Centre, Merrick and Wantagh fire departments took part in a water rescue drill at Bay Park's Hewlett Point Beach last Sunday. The in-water scenario simulated a boat crash with multiple victims in Hewlett Bay. Rescuers "treated" a variety of mock victims, conscious and unconscious, with injuries ranging from minor to severe.
