Nassau opens showers at county parks; expands movie schedule at Eisenhower Park
On Wednesday, Aug. 31 shower facilities will be available at North Woodmere Park from 9 to 11 a.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The park is located at Branch Boulevard at Hungry Harbor Road in North Woodmere. For more information call (516) 571-7801.
Residents can also shower at Cantiague Park on West John Street in Hicksville from 8 to 10 a.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. For more information call (516) 571-7057. At both places, residents will not be charged.
The county will also provide free movies at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow on Wednesday, Aug. 31 and Thursday, Sept. 1, at 7:30 p.m. “Iron Man II” will be shown at the Lakeside Theatre on Aug. 31 and bottled water will be available free of charge. On Sept. 1, “The Twilight Saga – Eclipse” will be shown at the theatre.
