Mostly Cloudy PHOTOS: Santa visits Inwood
More than 250 children and their families were served breakfast, took a photo with Santa Claus, and hats, gloves and coats were given to children in need at the 25th annual Peninsula Kiwanis Christmas Dream Breakfast with Santa at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Inwood on Dec. 9.
Christmas Dream also provided toys to more than 500 children of all faiths this season, working with the local schools and the Five Towns Community Center in Lawrence as well as the Five Towns Early Learning Center in Inwood.
Kiwanis officials appreciated the generosity of the Nassau County Bar Association We Care Fund, the U.S. Marines, the Bagelry in Cedarhurst, PIP printing in Inwood, Father Tom Moriarty for the use of the church and “the great people in Inwood for making this event so successful.”
