More than 7 inches of snow of fell across the Five Towns, according to the National Weather Service, in a winter storm that began on Dec. 16 and ended a day later.
The storm closed schools, caused power outages and left a roads hazradous enough that resulted in many vehicular accidents.
Some people were and are fortunate enough to be either working from home or retired that commuting to work is unnecessary.
North Woodmere resident Elysa Parker contributed a few photos of the snow day.
