Spelling bee at HALB middle school

Posted

The Hebrew Academy of Long Beach Middle School held its spelling bee during the last week of the year and eighth-grader Daniel Shayvitz captured first place. Rebecca Cunha, also an eight-grader, placed second and sixth-grader Rebecca Broder took third.

Initially, the sixth-, seventh- and eighth-graders took part in a grade level spelling bee, then the top students from each grade, 15 in total, took part in the schoolwide contest.
