St. John's Episcopal Hospital's Development board raises $25K at Woodmere Club fundraiser

Approximately $25,000 was raised to support the intensive, cardiac and emergency services for St. John’s Episcopal Hospital at the Far Rockaway’s facility’s Development Board Billy Joel Premiere Show benefit at the Woodmere Club on March 29.

More than 230 people attended the dinner that featured the music of Mike DelGuidice & Big Shot which performed the music of Billy Joel. The group was joined by Tommy Byrnes and Mark Rivera, two longtime members of Joel’s band.

Honored at the event were Dacia Bacchus, a registered nurse in ambulatory surgery, who is Employee of the Year; Dr. Tessy Peter, associate chair of Family Practice, who is Physician of the Year; Nassira Salahuddin, a registered nurse and a nursing administrative supervisor, who is Manager of the Year and the staff of Pulmonary Care Center Tower 8 was named Team of the Year.
