Overcast and Breezy St. John's Hospital's fair dispenses fun and health help

More than 700 people attended the community health fair held by St. John’s Episcopal Hospital on its Far Rockaway campus on June 21.
The health fair offered screenings for high blood pressure, eyes, feet, body mass index, nutrition, medication interactions and more. There were healthy food demonstrations, information on access to health insurance, home care, healthy lifestyles, and health resources.
Caribbean Heritage Month was also celebrated with live bands, a live on site radio broadcast, DJs, and lots of Caribbean delicacies to sample.
St. John’s will hold its next health fair on Sunday, Sept. 14.
