A half dozen civic-minded groups and almost 30 people took part in a clean up of North Woodmere Park last Sunday.

Nearly 30 volunteers representing six local organizations took the time last Sunday to collect more than two dumpsters of trash from North Woodmere Park.
Assemblyman Todd Kaminsky (D-Long Beach) helped to organize the clean up after learning from Woodmere resident Adam Brozik that the county park could use some tender loving care.
Five Towns Kiwanis, Five Towns Community Chest, the National Council of Jewish Women – Peninsula Section, Lawrence High School Key Club, Temple Hillel and Operation Splash, along with Kaminsky partnered on the clean up. The United Water donated bags, gloves and water.
