Light Rain Town and county candidate forum rescheduled

The Hewlett-Woodmere Public Library will host a town and county candidate forum on Oct. 28.

The candidate forum sponsored by the Southwest Nassau League of Women Voters for Oct. 23 was rescheduled for Monday, Oct. 28 beginning at 7 p.m. at the Hewlett-Woodmere Public Library at 1125 Broadway in Hewlett.
Scheduled for 7 p.m. will be Town Clerk candidates Jasmine Garcia-Vieux and Nasrin and incumbent Council District 4 Councilman Anthony Santino and challenger Patrick Gillespie.
At 8 p.m., candidates for county legislative district 3, 4, 6 and 7 are scheduled to speak. Incumbent County Legislator Carrie Solages and challenger Naomi Jean-Phillipe in L.D. 3 and incumbents Denise Ford in L.D. 4 and Fran Becker in L.D. 3 and current County Legislator Howard Kopel and challenger Lisa Daniels in L.D. 7.
