Volunteers needed for Wounded Warrior event

Organizing for the Lawrence Yacht & Country Club’s second annual Wounded Warrior Project day of golf, tennis and fishing is underway. Slated for Sunday, Sept. 20, the event includes lunch, dinner and prizes. Last year’s event raised more than $32,000.
The Wounded Warrior Project provides a variety of programs and services to military veterans such as stress recovery, family and peer support, transition work training and physical activities that encompasses sports, fitness, nutrition and wellness.
Volunteers are needed to work on the event’s committees. There will be a meeting on Wednesday, April 29 at 7 p.m. in the main clubhouse. For more information, call Barry Ringelheim between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. at (516) 745-8820.
