Cedarhurst Mayor Andrew Parise welcomed religious leaders, including Msgr. Paul F. Rahilly from St. Joachim’s R.C. Church, Rev. Mary Chang of the Lutheran Church of the Incarnation and Rabbi Jay Rosenbaum, of Temple Israel. A surprise visitor from the North Pole also made an appearance.

With Hanukkah beginning on Tuesday, Rabbi Zalman Wolowik of the Chabad of the Five Towns will lead the menorah lighting, each night in the park that will be at 6 p.m., except for Dec. 23 (3 p.m.) and Christmas Day Dec. 25 (5 p.m.).
