Woodmere car fatal victim identified

Woodmere resident Tobias Levkovich, 60, of Woodmere, was identified as the pedestrian who died after a car accident on Peninsula Boulevard between Island and Longacres avenues near Young Israel of Woodmere synagogue at 6:03 a.m. on Sept. 1, in Woodmere, Nassau police said.

Levkovich was crossing Peninsula Boulevard when he was hit by a 2015 Toyota Camry. The driver, a 64-year-old man, remained at the scene, police said.

Police said the investigation is continuing.
