Nassau police rescued a cat that got its head stuck in a metal cyclone fence Thursday afternoon on Floral Park Road.

Police used bolt-cutters borrowed from the custodial staff of nearby H. Frank Carey High School to cut the fence and free the cat without injury.

A cat that got its head stuck in a metal cyclone fence in Franklin Square was rescued by Nassau police on Oct. 5.
The rescue occurred around 2 p.m. Thursday on Floral Park Road and the cat was uninjured. The officers were able to free the cat using bolt-cutters borrowed from nearby custodial staff of H. Frank Carey High School.
