Choices and their consequences at Carey

Posted

H. Frank Carey High School’s Pupil Personnel Services Department hosted a Choices and Consequences assembly for 11th grade students.

The interactive presentation was provided by the office of acting Nassau County District Attorney Madeline Singas and was designed to combat drunk, drugged and reckless driving.

Assistant District Attorney Steve Henesy and a police officer from the Central Testing Section of the Nassau County Police Department presented information as part of the assembly. Students also listened to testimonials from young adults who were involved in serious automobile accidents during the presentation. With prom season quickly approaching and with many Carey juniors getting their driver’s license in the near future, the department thought it was a crucial assembly to provide to students.
