The Franklin Square community shared some holiday cheer last weekend during the winter festival hosted by the Franklin Square Civic Association and Franklin Square Historical Society last weekend.

Neighbors got to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus along with other holiday friends such as elves and Frosty the Snowman at Rath Park last Saturday.

Some people even wore the holiday cheer with more than a smile when they got their face painted during the festivities.

Local vendors set up shop near the Rath Park Gazebo to sell their various artisan crafts during the festivities. Community members were able to browse a variety of goods offered at the Dec. 2 celebration.

The Franklin Square Historical Society lit up the Christmas tree in Rath Park for all to enjoy this holiday season. Community members were also able to stop in the Franklin Square Historical Museum to check out the Christmas village set up inside.
