The Morton Civic Association hosted its Holiday Tree Lighting Spectacular event on Dec. 10 behind the Dogwood Shopping Center where dozens of Franklin Square community members came out to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year.
Attendees of all ages enjoyed hot cocoa, candy canes, hot pretzels and a visit from Old Saint Nick. There were also a variety of performances by the Willow Road School Glee Club, Tip, Tap, Toe Dance Studio and the local Girl Scout troops.
Donations were also collected for Eileen’s Gift of Love Toy Drive.
