Michelle O’Neill volleyball tourney

Thousands of players will be in attendance for the 14th Annual Michelle O’Neill Volleyball Tournament to be held on Grand Boulevard beach on Saturday, Sept. 11, from 8 a.m. to sunset.

As hundreds of American flags wave along the boardwalk, teams will play throughout the day, with music, raffles, merchandise, food and beverages available.

Local Long Beach resident Carol O’Neill and her family started the Michelle O’Neill Foundation in memory of Carol’s daughter who died of cancer in 1996.
