Brand new facility, same great level of caring
Long Island Dental Excellence
Long Island Dental Excellence has been in Rockville Centre for over 25 years. In August, the practice was moved into new, much larger state-of-the-art offices. The entire facility was designed with patient comfort in mind. Rooms are open and airy, chairs are extremely comfortable, and monitors allow patients to watch TV. As always, the staff helps patients to enjoy a positive experience, which Dr. Rechter believes is paramount. They are also wonderful with children.
Dr. Rechter understands that fear can cause people to avoid regular dental visits and checkups. Lack of pain or discomfort doesn’t always mean there isn’t a problem, he points out. If a brewing issue can be detected early, a crisis can often be avoided. Between the calming environment, the compassionate staff and the fact that Dr. Rechter spends time talking to his patients; fears can usually be alleviated. For patients who are still fearful, Sedation Dentistry is another option he offers.
Having logged over 1,000 hours of Continuing Education, Dr. Rechter prides himself on keeping up with the most current technology, some of which allows early diagnosis of dental issues. For this, Long Island Dental Excellence is equipped with technology like digital X-rays, LED oral cancer screening, and laser cavity detection.
While Dr. Rechter covers all types of general dentistry, the emphasis of his practice is on the atheistic side … smile makeovers. He and his staff expertly are trained in treating and repairing cracked, chipped or stained teeth. Long Island Dental Excellence offers a wide range of dental makeover options such as veneers, porcelain crowns, tooth bonding and tooth-colored composite fillings.
Rechter graduated Columbia University School of Dental Medicine in 1982, and did his residency in Englewood, NJ. He is a past president of the Rockville Centre Chamber of Commerce. Credentials and memberships include American Dental Association, Dental Society of the State of NY, Nassau County Dental Society, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation, and American Dental Implant Association.
