A Colorado man has been charged with possessing videos of a child under age 16 "performing a sex act" and was set to be arraigned Aug. 31 in First District Court, according to Nassau County police.

Luke Tilsley, 36, of Larimer Street in Denver, was charged after an investigation in which police say they found videos of the sex act on his cell phone.

Tilsley had already been charged with endangering the welfare of a child after he traveled to Merrick twice and, according to authorities, forcibly touched a 16-year-old girl.

Tilsley had communicated with the victim online since last October, police said. Tilsley was spotted with the victim on June 24, and he was arrested at 4:50 p.m. that day at the Merrick Long Island Rail Road station without incident.

Tilsley was charged in that incident with two counts of forcible touching, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and two counts of sexual abuse in the third degree.

He was arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on June 25. He was represented at his arraignment by the Legal Aid Society, which does not comment on cases.

Detectives ask anyone with information about these alleged crimes to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at (800) 244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
