On Wednesday, Dec. 9, from 6-9 p.m., Artists in Partnership Inc. will celebrate 15 years of providing free cultural arts programs in Long Beach at a holiday concert and tasting party hosted by Lola’s Kitchen & Wine Bar, at 180 W. Park Ave.

There will be non-stop entertainment provided by some of Long Beach’s own musical legends including Steve Adelson, Peter and Kim Kuperschmid, Michael Barnett and the always popular “Sweet Suzi” and her new Blues Band which includes AIP board member and guitarist, Howie Haber.

“Most people know AIP because of the Cabaret Festival, Barrier Beach Blues & Arts Festival, Folk 2 Funk Festival, and the Kickin’ Country Festival that we produce annually at the Long Beach Public Library,” said Johanna Mathieson-Ellmer, current director of AIP. “They’re just a small part of the contributions made to the cultural life of our community over the years.”

AIP Programs have included “Share Your Art” events; conversations on the arts; Voices of Hope: 9/11 presentations; SocialCinema film festivals; gallery walks; business seminars; Twilight arts concerts; local dance demonstrations; and the Long Island ArtsFest, a precursor to today’s successful Arts in the Plaza event.

Admission to the event is $20 per person and includes a delicious array of appetizers, drink specials (cash bar), door prizes, as well as basket raffles and a 50-50 raffle. All proceeds will benefit AIP youth focused cultural arts programs for 2016.
