National Weather Service warning for Sunday morning, Jan. 22 for the South Shore

...Icy conditions on untreated roadways this morning...

With temperatures well below the freezing mark...icy conditions will exist on untreated surfaces this morning.

If traveling...please exercise extreme caution and keep alert for slippery spots...especially on secondary roadways...bridges and overpasses.

Forecast:

Today: Partly sunny, with a high near 35. East wind around 10 mph.

Tonight: A slight chance of drizzle and snow before 1am, then a chance of drizzle. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 33. East wind between 6 and 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Monday: A chance of drizzle, then rain, mainly after 1pm. Areas of fog after 1pm. High near 52. Southeast wind between 10 and 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Monday Night: Rain likely, mainly before 1am. Areas of fog before 1am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 41. Southwest wind between 7 and 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
