Board meeting and work
session
The Long Beach Board of Education will hold a regular meeting at West School at 8 p.m. on April 13. The board will hold a worksession on April 27 at 8 p.m. at the middle school.
Kindergarten parent
The district will sponser parent orientation program at the Long Beach Middle School On at 7 p.m. on April 8. Kindergarten choice cards will be distributed at this meeting. For questions, call 897-2212, from 8 to 11 a.m.
Pre-K
registration
The Long Beach Public Schools will hold registration for Pre-K and kindergarten for the 2010-2011 school year on April 29 from 8 to 11 a.m., 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.; April 30 from 8 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m at the Lindell School. For info call 897-2212 from 8 to 11 a.m.
Blackheath pre-K
There will be a parent visitation program at the Blackheath Pre-Kindergarten from 12 to 12:45 p.m. on April 16. All parents of children born between Dec. 2, 2005 and Dec.1, 2006 are invited to attend. Registration packets may be obtained at this time. For questions call 897-2081.
Kindergarten parent visitation
The district will sponsor a Kindergarten Parent Visitation Program by appointment as follows: April 22 at Lido and East Schools, April 23 at Lindell and West School. Contact each elementary school to arrange an appointment: Lido School at 897-2140, East School at 897-2184, Lindell School at 897-2198, and West School at 897-2215.
Out-of-district transportation requests
For parents of students attending out-of-district programs in the 2010-2011 school year, applications must be submitted to the Long Beach Public Schools Transportation Department, at 659 Lido Boulevard, prior to May 1. For information call 897-2132.
