The Long Beach Board of Education will hold a budget hearing on May 11 at 8 p.m. at the middle school.

Budget-board votes

The vote for Long Beach School District budget and the Board of Trustee elections will be held from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on May 18. For information about registration, absentee ballots and polling locations, call the district clerk at 897-2108. There will be a board meeting at 10 p.m. at the middle school to announce the results.

District art showThe school district will sponsor an art show at the Long Beach Senior Center, at 650 Magnolia Blvd., on May 14 from 4 to 8 p.m. and on May 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Student artwork from all K-12 schools in the district will be on display. Admission is free and all are welcome.

Candidates forum

The Central Council PTA will hold a Long Beach Board of Education candidates Forum on May 10 at 7 p.m. at Long Bech City Hall.

Lido Career Day

Lido School will hold its annual Career Day on April 30.

Pre-prom meetings

There will be a Pre-prom/Morning Madness meetings on May 20 at 7:15 p.m. No students will be allowed to purchase a ticket to the prom or Morning Madness unless they attend one of these meetings with at least one parent or guardian. Prom safety will be discussed.
