Board meeting

The Long Beach Board of Education will hold a regular meeting at the Long Beach Library at 8 p.m. on March 9.

Winter

recess

Long Beach Public Schools will be closed for winter recess on Feb. 15 to 19. Classes resume on Feb. 22.

Out-of-district transportation requests

For parents of students attending out-of-district programs in the 2010-2011 school year, applications must be submitted to the Long Beach Public Schools Transportation Department, at 659 Lido Boulevard, prior to May 1. For information call 897-2132.

Free echo cardiogram screening

The Long Beach School District in conjunction with Schneider Children’s Hospital, the Jason F. Gruen Research Foundation and real estate brokers Neil Sterrer & Joe Sinnona announce the second annual free echo cardiogram screening program for 8th grade student athletes at 8 a.m. on March 20 at the Long Beach Middle School.

Adult Ed

In-person registration for the Long Beach Adult Continuing Education program will take place on Feb. 22 and Feb. 24, from 7 to 9 p.m. at LBMS. Classes begin March 8. For more information call 897-2679 or e-mail jsofield@lbeach.org.
