Radio City Christmas show

Cruising to Bermuda
Long Beach VFW Post 1384 is sponsoring a seven-day cruise to Bermuda on the Norwegian Dawn out of New York City on May 16, 2010. Tickets for Billy Elliott
The Avanti Society is selling tickets to the Tony Award-winning musical Billy Elliott at 2 p.m. on Oct. 14. The price is $115 for Avanti members, $125 for non-members, and includes a chartered bus. For information, call Carol at 889-5086.

Volunteer at soup kitchen
The Long Beach Soup Kitchen seeks highly-skilled, fast paced, energetic volunteers that are pleasant, caring, and courteous to do food prep, cook, serve and clean up crews. Donate cell phones
The Lions Club of Long Beach is sponsoring an ongoing cell phone drive to collect phones to provide service men and women with free calling cards to stay in touch with their loved ones. Drop off your used cell phones at the following locations:Citibank on E. Park Avenue; Laurel Cleaners on W. The Long Beach Chamber of Commerce will hold its 46th annual dinner dance at at Sands Atlantic Beach on Nov. 1 The Edmund A. Buscemi Public Service Award will be given to Nassau County Executive Thomas R. Suozzi.
