“The guests were startled [by the celebrities] and were taking pictures and it was mayhem,” said Natalie Orellana, store manager of Ooh la la, a trendy women’s boutique in Long Beach. “They were very nice and it ended up being an awesome show. We got tons of compliments.”

Orellana was referring to special celebrity guests Jill Zarin, of the Real Housewives of New York; and Karen Gravano and Ramona Rizzo, of Mob Wives, who turned out for Ooh la la’s third annual “Glitz Glamour Groove Give” event to benefit Boarding for Breast Cancer (B4BC).

B4BC is a non-profit, youth-focused education, awareness, and fundraising foundation that creates awareness about breast cancer, the importance of early detection and the value of an active lifestyle.

Held on the rooftop of the Allegria Hotel on Saturday, Aug. 18, Ooh la la held its lavish runway show highlighting its 2012 fall collection.

“It went really, really well,” Orellana said.

Orellana said the two biggest sponsors for the event included Dr. Patrick Mcmanus of Beach Babies and Broward Limousine, both based in Long Beach.

With more than 300 people in attendance, Orellana said that all proceeds were raised for B4BC mostly through 50/50 raffles.

“We also had a Glam Bar where you could get lipstick done and little things like that,” Orellana said, adding that the amount of money raised at the event had yet to be determined.
