Step back in time to an unforgettable era of music when the Beatles tribute band Strawberry Fields performs at Oceanside High School on Saturday, Oct. 2, at 8 p.m. The concert benefits the Susan Satriano Memorial Foundation, a charitable organization launched five years ago by Oceanside resident and author Joseph Satriano.

Famous for their run in Broadway’s hit musical "Beatlemania" and their ongoing stint at BB King’s in Times Square, the “Fab Four,” Tony Garofolo (John Lennon), Bill J. Ray (Paul McCartney), Mark Vaccacio (George Harrison) and Gerard Barberine Jr. (Ringo Starr), will treat the audience to a Magical Mystery Tour of Beatles songs from the early to late 1960s. Strawberry Fields has been performing for audiences of all ages for over a decade, and has received accolades nationwide for sounding and looking like the Beatles themselves.

The event will also feature pre-show music by the band Cargo, with band leader Justin Satriano at the helm. All concert attendees will receive a free T-shirt.

Satriano, who goes by the pen name J.S. Russo, is the author of the inspirational book "In Sickness and in Health: A Memoir of Love." The 269-page novel chronicles his family’s journey and passion for life and was written as a tribute to his late wife, Susan, who battled breast cancer for 13 years. He founded the Susan Satriano Memorial Scholarship Foundation in 2006 to provide high school seniors with scholarships when a parent has suffered from cancer.

Tickets are $25, and can be purchased by calling the Oceanside Department of Community Activities at (516) 594-2336 or (516) 603-5520.
