The Lynbrook and Rockville Centre Junior Fire Departments joined together last Sunday morning to host a “Flapjack Fundraiser” called “Rebuilding the Rock — Friends Helping Friends” at Applebee’s in Baldwin, to benefit the East Rockaway Fire Department. Monies raised from the event, that will go help the ERFD rebuild after Hurricane Sandy, will be formally presented to the department at a later date. 

The junior members worked as waiters and waitress and served many firefighters, families, and friends, who came out to support the cause.
