Undercover drug arrests

The Nassau County Police Department Narcotics/Vice Bureau arrested an East Rockaway woman for purchasing heroin on March 25 as part of an undercover operation in Elmont.
Maggie Caballero, 26, of East Rockaway, purchased four glassine envelopes of heroin from the home of Thomas McKinley, 53, and his wife Lorraine Bianchini, 61 at 9:20 a.m. on Monday.
According to detectives, an undercover operation conducted by Narcotic/Vice Bureau detectives determined that McKinley and Bianchini were conducting the sale heroin from their basement apartment. It was during the investigation that Caballero was arrested.

A short time later, at 11:40 a.m., Grant Marshall, 25, of Copiague, was arrested after he purchased 10 glassine envelopes of heroin from the defendants.
The detectives executed a court ordered search warrant of the residence which resulted in the recovery 1,534 bags of heroine, 50 pills of Alprazolam, and an undetermined amount of money. McKinley and Bianchini were placed under arrest at their home without incident.
Mckinley was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the second degree, two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the thid degree, and three counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree. Bianchini was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Caballero and Marshall are both charged seventh-degree with criminal possession of a controlled substance. All defendants were arraigned on March 26 at First District Court in Hempstead.

Arrests
William Riano, 47, of Island Park, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated on March 18 at 7:40 a.m. at the corner of Atlantic Avenue and Denton Avenue in East Rockaway.
