After a two-year hiatus due to Covid-19, the Lynbrook Fire Department held its annual Christmas fire truck rides for the children of Lynbrook in December.
Lynbrook firefighters have provided Christmas rides for children for nearly 70 years.
A few hundred children and their parents showed up at the Earle Avenue parking lot last Saturday afternoon to take a ride on one of Lynbrook’s fire engines or ladder truck.
After a ride, the children got a chance to sit with Santa inside the Earle Avenue firehouse where coffee, hot chocolate and cookies were served.
