HempsteadWorks has partnered with Lynbrook Mayor William Hendrick to present the “2012 Mayor Henrick’s Job Fair” to be held on Wed., Mar. 14 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Lynbrook Public Library.

“It is crucial that we do all that we can to help those in our community looking for work, and that is why the Lynbrook Board unanimously agreed to hold another job fair this year,” said Trustee Hilary Becker. “Instead of talking about jobs, we are really trying our best to do something to help our residents find employment. We will also continue to do our best to bring in new businesses into our commercial areas, but that’s going to take more time.  The job fair is a way that we can immediately make an impact for those looking for work, and that is why we’re hoping that [it] will be a huge success.

“We thank Hempstead Works, and Supervisor Murray for giving us this opportunity to help our residents, but most importantly we thank the companies who will be attending the Job Fair, and encourage them to give our residents a shot. We’re certain they wont’ regret it.”

The Workforce Investment Act Titles I financially assisted program is an equal opportunity employer/program. Auxiliary aids and services are available upon request to individuals with disabilities.

The following companies will be at the fair: Ashley Furniture, Atria Tanglewood, Atria Lynbrook, Century 21, Cooling Heating and Beyond, EAC, Evergreen Eagle JFK Cargo, Global Industrial Equipment, Garden City Hotel, Goodtemps, Jones Beach, Nike Factory Store, NY Blood Center, PHC, Purple Frog, Queens Nassau Medical, Scope, Securatas, Whitson’s Culinary Group, Winston’s Staffing, Department of Labor, Fedex, Harbor Child Care, United Healthcare, Stewart Law Firm, Herrick Stamp Co. and Home Depot.
