Partly Cloudy Lynbrook, East Rockaway to host ceremonies to commemorate 20th anniversary of 9/11

Lynbrook and East Rockaway will host their annual 9/11 memorial services to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attacks fo Sept. 11, 2001, on Sept. 11.
Lynbrook's event is set for 8 p.m. at Memorial Park behind Village Hall, 1 Columbus Drive. It will feature a moment of silence, reading of names and guest speakers. The Lynbrook police and fire departments will participate, along with village officials.
East Rockaway will host its ceremony in Memorial Park, with a name reading at 4 p.m. and a remembrance event at 7 p.m.
