The Village of Lynbrook’s annual Veterans Day event at Doughboy Monument drew another crowd of neighbors who gathered to honor and respect men and women who served in the military.
Each year, veterans and elected officials gather to recognize the sacrifices made by men and women who put on a uniform for love of country. Schoolchildren provided cards of gratitude, and more than one veteran received a heartfelt “thank you” from a passerby.
