Teen receives scouting's highest honor

On June 28, Tim Healy, 17, of Lynbrook, attain Eagle status during the troop’s year-end Court of Honor and pot luck supper held at at St. James Methodist Church in Lynbrook.

Tim’s Boy Scout troop 336 Eagle project was the installation of the exercise trail equipment behind Greis Park. He is a life-long Boy Scout, a 2010 graduate of Chaminade High School and will be attending Cornell University in the fall.

The Eagle Scout Award represents many years of dedicated effort. It is the highest regular scouting rank, given to a young man a firm demonstration of how people, working together through the years, can truly help mold a young man with a solid sense of leadership, citizenship, character, and responsibility.
