The Kindergarten through third grade students at Our Lady of Peace School in Lynbrook celebrated “Special People Day” on January 31, just one of the many fun celebrations that took place during Catholic Schools Week.
Each child had the opportunity to choose one person who is special to them. There were many moms, dads, grandmas, grandpas, aunts, uncles, siblings and friends on hand. The special guests had the opportunity to visit the classrooms and see the fantastic work displays throughout the building. The guests were then invited to the Fr. Larry Penzes Auditorium to watch the students perform a beautiful musical tribute to the U.S.A.
The fabulous day ended with light refreshments for all. Special thanks to all the hard working administration, teachers and staff that worked so hard with the students to make such a beautiful day for the special people their lives.
