On Saturday, May 12, at 10:00 a.m., members of the Save Our Sons Network — a community-based organization devoted to the social, emotional and intellectual development of male youth — paid a visit to the Lakeview Fire Department at its headquarters. There, children learned about the department, its procedures and policies, had first-hand experience with firefighter gear and equipment, and even got the chance to sit inside a fire truck.
