Delivery man robbed in Lakeview

Detectives with the Fifth Squad reported that two men robbed a food-delivery man in Lakeview on June 24, around 12:30 a.m.

The 27-year-old victim was making a Chinese food delivery to a resident on Clinton Avenue, where he was met by an unknown black man. As he exited his vehicle, two additional black men approached the victim from behind, threatening the use of a weapon. They went through the victim’s pockets, removing an unknown amount of cash, his wallet and cell phone.

The men also took the food and then fled the scene on foot southbound through rear yards. No injuries were reported and there is no further description of the suspects.

Various crimes occur in Malverne, West Hempstead, Lakeview

  • Malverne police reported a burglary on King Street in Malverne some time between 1 p.m. on June 6 and noon on June 15.
  • A woman reported items stolen from her vehicle, which was parked on Rose Avenue in Lakeview and left unlocked, sometime between 10 p.m. on June 13 and 10 a.m. on June 14.
  •  A burglary took place at New Wok Buffet, located on Hempstead Turnpike in West Hempstead, some time between 10:15 p.m. on June 14 and 10:45 a.m. on June 15.
  • A burglary took place sometime between 7:30 and 10:45 p.m. on June 19 at Jack and Jill Stationery, located on Hempstead Turnpike in West Hempstead.
