The unofficial results for the Nassau County Legislature and Town of Hempstead election races are as follows:

Dorothy Goosby, the Democratic incumbent for the town's First Councilmatic District, defeated Republican challenger Tracy Worthy, 10,496 votes to 2,074. The district encompasses Lakeview, portions of West Hempstead and Baldwin, Uniondale and Roosevelt, among other areas.

Democratic candidate Robert Troiano won the county's 2nd Legislative District race, which featured three candidates vying for one seat. The unofficially tally is Troiano 5,139 votes, Republican candidate Derek Partee 1,610 votes and People First Party candidate Pablo Sinclai 224 votes. The district includes Lakeview, parts of West Hempstead, East Meadow, Westbury and New Cassel, among other areas.

Republican incumbent John Ciotti defeated Democratic challenger Nina Petraro Bastardi in the 3rd L.D. Ciotti garnered 6.252 votes to Petraro Bastardi's 4,654. The district includes parts of West Hempstead and Valley Stream, Elmont, Franklin Square and Bellerose Terrace.

County Legislator Joseph Scannell took home the victory in the 5th L.D., defeating Republican candidate Chris Browne, 7,103 votes to 6,729. The district encompasses Lakeview, Baldwin, Rockville Centre and Freeport, among other areas.

In the 6th L.D., Republican Fran Becker, an original member of the Legislature, bested challenger Vincent Grasso. Becker had 9,002 to votes with Grasso picking up 3,713. The district includes Malverne, Lynbrook, North Lynbrook, East Rockaway and Valley Stream, among other areas.

Republican incumbent Vincent Muscarella had a landslide victory in the 8th L.D. race, defeating Democratic candidate Gaspare Tumminello, 11, 005 votes to 3,154. The district encompasses West Hempstead, Franklin Square, portions of Elmont and Floral Park, among other areas.
