The Club of Long Island Professional Photographers (CLIPP), Malverne Division — a group mostly composed of Herald freelancers — has officially kicked off its third photography exhibit, “Doors and Windows,” at the Screening Room Gallery, at 350 Hempstead Ave. in Malverne.

The exhibit includes works from around the world and around the corner, ranging from Jina Papadoniou’s work in Franklin Square, to Victoria Lodi’s photographs from Paris.

Residents and visitors will have the opportunity to view and admire the photographs, along with written reflections by each photographer for each work. Other featured photographers include Barbara Cittadino, Christina Daly, Arthur Findlay, Penny Frondelli, Susan Grieco, Kathy Leistner, Ron Manfredi, Ray McClure and Janette Pellegrini.

The themes of exhibits change quarterly, and the “Doors and Windows” exhibit will run until the end of September.

In addition to its latest exhibit, CLIPP will be holding a special exhibit of photos featuring some of Malverne’s hidden gems, entitled, “Through the Lens” at the Malverne Historical Society house at 369 Ocean Ave. on Saturday, Sept. 8, from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. Residents and visitors can meet the photographers, enjoy their work and learn about Malverne’s history from the wonderful exhibits on display in the historical house. Refreshments will be served.
