Malverne Mayor Patricia McDonald was re-elected to her seat during yesterday's election. Her husband, Stephen, accompanied her to the voting booth earlier in the day.

Hundreds of residents headed out to the polls yesterday to re-elect Malverne Mayor Patricia McDonald and Trustees James Callahan and Michael Bailey. Village Justice James Dougherty was re-elected to his seat as well.
McDonald, who ran unopposed for her seat, received 1,173 votes. Callahan received 888 votes and Bailey, who ran for his second term on the board, recevied 966. Dr. John Hassett Jr., who challenged the Independent Party trustees for a seat on the board, received 781 votes, while Dougherty, who ran unopposed, received 1,145.
