The new officers were sworn in Saturday night during the installation ceremony at the Legion Hall on Franklin Avenue in Malverne.

The Malverne American Legion Post 44, along with the local American Legion Auxiliary post, held an installation ceremony on Sept. 18 during which it honored Post 44 Commander John Hassett Sr. and Auxiliary President Dr. Carol Hasset.
