The Malverne Jewish Center will hold a Zoom conversation with author A.J. Sidransky on May 17, at 10:30 a.m. Sidransky will discuss his book, “The Interpreter.”

Based partially on true events, “The Interpreter” tells the story of Kurt Berlin, a 23-year-old American soldier recruited by the OSS to return to Europe as an interpreter to interrogate captured Nazi officers. While he’s reluctant to return, he hopes to find the girl he left behind.

Residents can also purchase a Kindle copy to read and leave a review on Amazon by May 31 to receive a signed, personalized hard copy.

To RSVP for a link, email malvernejewishcenter@gmail.com or call (516) 593-6364.
