Malverne man to marry N. Merrick woman in Long Beach

Mr. Frank P. Doyle of North Merrick, along with his wife, Joann, announces the engagement of his sixth daughter, Brittany Marie, to Joseph Peter Schutta, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph J. Schutta of Maleverne. Brittany is also the daughter of the late Vivian Doyle.

Brittany is a 2004 graduate of Our Lady of Mercy Academy in Syosset. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from St. Joseph’s College and works as a Special Education teacher at P.S./I.S. 49 in Middle Village, Queens.

After graduating from Chaminade High School, Joe received his Bachelor’s degree from SUNY Binghamton in 2002. He is a former United States Marine and a member of the New York City Fire Department's Ladder 33.

The couple, who will reside in Long Beach, have planned a March 2011 wedding.
