Retiring after three decades of service

The Malverne Board of Education honored Robert and Marie Schuler, who are retiring after serving as budget vote coordinators in Malverne for the past 30 years. Each year the Schulers coordinated the budget vote and election booths and tallied the results.

“We’re going to miss them terribly,” board President Dr. Patrick Coonan said in a short speech. They each received a special plaque of recognition and a bouquet of flowers.
