Robotics returns to Hofstra this weekend

Local high schools compete in SBPLI FIRST competition

W.T. Clarke, Malverne, Oceanside and Baldwin High Schools are scheduled to once again compete in the Long Island Regional FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics Competition on Friday and Saturday at Hofstra. The event, in its 12th year, is sponsored by the School-Business Partnerships of Long Island, Inc. (SBPLI). 

More than 1,200 students from 50 high schools - including from Oceanside and Baldwin - will compete for honor and recognition that reward design quality, sportsmanship, competitive play and high-impact partnerships among schools, businesses and communities.
