Performers from Plaza Theatrical Productions in Lynbrook brought “The Wizard of Oz” to life during the company’s show at Westwood Park in Malverne on Aug. 15. Residents of all ages filled the park to see Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man and the Cowardly Lion as they journeyed to see the wizard.
The company performed many of the classic songs from the Academy Award-winning film that include “Follow the Yellow Brick Road” and “We’re off to See the Wizard.” Sponsored by the Village of Malverne and the Malverne Chamber of Commerce, the show was a part of the village’s annual Summer Entertainment Series.
